Woke Responds to the Misguided Attack on Wike by Chief Ada George

By Nwaorgu Faustinus

"In light of Chief Rufus Ada-George's recent diatribe against Chief Nyesom Wike, delivered through a letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I feel compelled to set the record straight. The steady barrage of unfounded accusations directed at the FCT Minister—a man whose only "offense" is his staunch support for Sim Fubara's governorship—reveals a troubling bias that cannot be ignored.

Chief Ada-George’s actions are not those of a reconciliatory elder; they betray an ulterior motive aimed at widening the gap between the FCT Minister and the governor. This calculated maneuvering seeks to exploit the fragile dynamics of our political landscape for personal gain, cleverly disguised as a call for unity.

It is crucial to recognize that the script being played by Chief Ada-George is not only outdated but fundamentally misaligned with our current realities. President Tinubu is no stranger to political machinations and will not be swayed by disingenuous letter-writing campaigns from individuals whose biases are glaringly apparent in both their actions and their rhetoric.

As a seasoned politician and national leader, the President possesses the discernment to see through the smoke and mirrors of propaganda. He understands the value of genuine leadership and the importance of fostering unity rather than division.

It is time for leaders like Chief Ada-George to step back and reflect on their role in our democracy. The people of Rivers State deserve better than this ongoing spectacle of discord. We need true elders who prioritize reconciliation and integrity over personal agendas.

Chief Ada-George cannot absolve himself from the chaos that has plagued Rivers State since his tenure as governor. His involvement in the bitter feud between Dr. Peter Odili and Rotimi Amaechi is undeniable and cannot be conveniently forgotten. He has no standing as a neutral mediator, especially given his dubious legacy. Apart from being a former governor, what qualifications does he possess that justify his role as an elder statesman?

His motives are tainted by a clear upland/riverine bias. His lack of support for Dr. Odili's governorship ambitions is a glaring example of his entrenched partisanship. The same divisive tactics he employed in the past are evident today, especially now that HE Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, is involved. This is despite the blatant ingratitude displayed by Gov. Sim Fubara toward a man who defied the odds and his own party to secure the governorship.

Those seeking equity must come with clean hands. If Chief Ada-George insists on intervening, he must cast aside his biases and ethnic jingoism. He must be prepared to speak the unvarnished truth, regardless of whose interests it may threaten. At this critical juncture in both Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole, we urgently need selfless and impartial elders to foster genuine dialogue and reconciliation.

The relentless attacks on the FCT Minister and the incessant barrage of letters to the President—targeting a man whose only "crime" is his unwavering support for Sim Fubara’s governorship—reveal the true nature of this self-proclaimed elder. Chief Ada-George’s actions not only expose his bias but also suggest a hidden agenda aimed at deepening the rift between the FCT Minister and the governor, all while exploiting his status as an elder for personal gain.

Let me be clear: the script being orchestrated by Chief Ada-George is not only outdated but utterly disconnected from our current realities. The President is not one to be manipulated by such juvenile tactics disguised as elder counsel. He sees through the façade of letter-writing campaigns from individuals whose biases are evident in their actions and rhetoric.

As a seasoned politician and national leader, the President possesses the discernment to recognize propaganda and can easily pierce through the veils of envy and division. He will not be swayed by the machinations of those who seek to sow discord under the guise of wisdom."

Reno Omokri: Church Crowd Size a Sign of God's Presence?

The deep thinker Reno Omokri expresses his thoughts over Pastor Paul Enenche and Pastor Damina, For some time now Pastor Damina bible teaching have been trending seriously on the social media space.

Pastor Paul Enenche mocking his fellow pastor, Pastor Damina. Referring to Mr. Damina's ministry, Mr. Enenche said, "That kind of ministry where there is hardly anybody physically on ground has no other root but the pit of hell".

Why would Mr. Enenche say so when Yeshua (Jesus) Himself said?

"For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it."-Matthew 7:13 New International Version (NIV).

How does he want rural pastors and missionaries in the far-flung corners of the world to feel? I am not sure that statement is what a child of God should utter. If Davido and Wizkid or Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef with each other like that, we could understand such childish hubris. But coming from a supposed man of God on the pulpit? Really?

Pastor Jim Jones' church was filled with crowds, so much so that he was able to build his own town named Jonestown. But obviously, the presence of crowds was not evidence of the presence of God.

And then he went on to boast about his ministry and talked about a demonstration of power.

I wonder if he is referring to the same power that failed him when he publicly and falsely accused Miss Anyim Vera of lying about her testimony of a BSc in Law?

Pastor Paul Enenche is just blessed that Nigeria has many people without critical thinking skills! And some of those uncritical thinkers will come here with the hollow 'Did he call Damina's name' defence. We all know it was Mr. Damina he was referring to. But it does not matter who he was referring to. This is objective, not subjective. It applies even if he was referring to Reverend King.

He said, and this is a direct quote: "Run with speed so you don't become history while you are alive". But his words are in direct contradiction to Scripture, which says:

"The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favour to the learned."-Ecclesiastes 9:11.

And he called the ministry of other men of God "rubbish". But how many of those 'rubbish' men of God surrendered their altars to Peter Obi during the election and were following him about?

Is this not the same deceit Pastor Paul Enenche pulled during and after the election? Did he not place curses on those he alleged rigged the election and deprived Peter Obi of victory? It is on video. We remember the things he said and did.

It is unfortunate what Mr. Enenche said in his response to Pastor Damina.

I remind Pastor Enenche that Pastor David Yonggi Cho, the pastor of the church with the largest congregation on Earth, Yoido Full Gospel Church, was convicted of fraud and embezzlement and sentenced to three years in prison.

Perhaps someone should tell Mr. Enenche that cancer can actually grow faster than normal organs in the human body. So, to use growth in numbers as a standard to gauge Godliness is rather shallow.

Pastor Damina may or may not be genuinely called, as Pastor Paul alleged, but church crowd size will never be the judge of that. Whether or not Pastor Damina is called or not can be found in one thing and one thing only:

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love one to another."-John 13:35.

Rivers Solidarity Walk: Highlights Commitment to Democracy and Leadership of President Tinubu – Coalition

By Nwaorgu Faustius

Port Harcourt, Rivers State – Following the recent historic solidarity walk in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Coalition of Renewed Hope Family reiterates its unwavering commitment to democracy and strong leadership in Rivers State.

Chief Tony C. Okocha, KSC, DSSRS, JP, Deputy Leader of the Renewed Hope Family in Rivers State, assured attendees that the Coalition will continue to rally support for the President as he implements transformative policies for the nation. “We are dedicated to ensuring that President Tinubu’s vision becomes a reality for all Nigerians,” he stated.

"The Coalition stands united in its mission to foster progress and stability in Rivers State and beyond. We call on all citizens to join us in this collective effort to strengthen our democracy and enhance the well-being of our communities.

"The atmosphere in Port Harcourt was electrifying this past weekend as thousands gathered for a monumental solidarity walk organized by the Coalition of Renewed Hope Family, demonstrating unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

The event, which attracted a mammoth crowd, marked a historic moment in Rivers State, showcasing a vibrant display of colors and unity. Participants, undeterred by the long distance of the 7-kilometer walk, came together in a peaceful and joyous manner, exchanging pleasantries and celebrating their shared commitment to the President’s vision for Nigeria.

“Even the blind could see the array of colors,” one supporter noted, as the joyous chants and sounds filled the air. The atmosphere remained serene throughout the event, with supporters standing strong against any negativity from detractors.

The Nigerian flag flew proudly, symbolizing the unity and resilience of the people. The walk commenced at the Polo Club and concluded at the Port Harcourt Club, where key speakers addressed the crowd. Their messages were clear: President Tinubu has taken bold steps in his fourteen months in office, steering Nigeria towards a brighter future. The importance of patience and support for the President was emphasized, reinforcing the sentiment that progress takes time.

“This is a time for fervent prayers and collective effort,” stated one speaker. “As the saying goes, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day,’ and we must remember that breaking eggs is necessary to make an omelet.”

During the event, speakers emphasized that sore losers from opposing political camps should not attempt to disrupt democracy through insurrection or unwarranted revolutions. The only path forward for them is to respect the democratic process and wait for the 2027 elections, where Nigerians will voice their choices through the ballot.

Furthermore, it was made clear that the Honorable Minister E.N. Wike, CON, DSSRS, POS AFRICA, and LIFE BENCHER, is the undisputed leader of the Renewed Hope Family in Rivers State. Any other individuals or groups claiming to support President Tinubu are merely pretenders.

The Coalition also addressed attempts by certain politicians to tarnish the commendable reputation of Minister Wike, who has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership as the former Governor of Rivers State and currently as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

Despite petty attacks, his outstanding achievements, including accolades for infrastructure development, remain unchallenged. Efforts to create divisions between Minister Wike and President Tinubu will not succeed. The Renewed Hope Family condemns the immature tactics of those attempting to sow discord within our ranks, including the baseless narrative of a conflict between Tinubu and Wike for the 2027 elections.

Additionally, we denounce the recent unfounded protests calling for the removal of HE Godswill Akpabio, who is wrongly labeled as an enemy of Governor Fubara's administration. The Senate President's commitment to truth and integrity should be applauded, not attacked.

Together, the Coalition of Renewed Hope Family stands firm in our support for President Tinubu and the leadership of Minister Wike. We call on all stakeholders to unite for the progress and prosperity of Rivers State," the group said.

The Coalition of Renewed Hope Family expresses gratitude to all participants, media practitioners, and supporters who made this event a resounding success.

"Together, we will continue to champion the vision of a prosperous Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu", the coalition declared

NIGER DELTA RIVALRY WILL BE REVISITED IN AN ABUJA FEDERAL HIGH COURT THIS COMING WEEK.

By Dr Ejiro Imuere

It is going to be a clash of the Titans as the Itsekiri Nation will be fighting hard for her Political survival for Warri Township. The Itsekiris have already lost and given the Political control of Warri South-West and Warri-North LGA to the Ijaws. Their only hope to dominate the Warri FEDERAL Constituency is now Warri-South LGA.

But instead of them to be strategic before now to make the Urhobos their friends, they turned against them in their inordinate greed. Now the Ijaws and the Urhobos are now political allies. The Interim Injunction the Itsekiris secured AGAINST INEC over the recent Ward delineations in the Warri FEDERAL Constituency, earlier this week will as usual expire on the 15th of August.

Then the motion for the interlocutory injunction will now be moved, where the Judge of the Federal high court Justice Nwite will hear from both sides, and then decide whether to grant an interlocutory injunction in the case. On one side of this battle is the Itsekiri NATION, ably represented with two SANs, very popular ones and highly connected.

One the other side are three formidable opponents which are INEC, the Urhobos and the Ijaws. These three have also mobilized a total of six SANs on their own side. So can the Itsekiri two SANs defeat the six SANs of the opposite party much more when one of the Party is a Federal Government Agency (INEC).

Can the Itsekiris Succeed using the Courts to stop INEC for a Message that the Supreme Court herself sent INEC to carry out? Can the Itsekiris Succeed in a case that had been litigated in another Federal high court in Warri before Justice Okon Abang, who dismissed a suit last year with a similar Subject matter, even when INEC made no defense?

Let us see how the Titans will clash this week. Once again Niger DELTA Rivalry usually enrich the Nigerian Jurisprudence. We are going to see if the Federal high court will over rule the Judgment of the Supreme Court and also a Subject matter that other courts with coordinate Jurisdiction have pronounced upon.

For all the dramatis personae, this is a do or dies affair, particularly for the Urhobos of Warri South LGA. Because if the Courts rules in favour of the Itsekiris, then the Urhobos of Warri South are finished Politically and they will go into Political oblivion. But if the Judge rules against the Itsekiris, then , their Nakedness over the ownership and control of Warri is gone and gone forever.

They will now face their karma. They will now be the ones crying to have a Local Government of their own. For those of you who are interested in Supporting the Urhobos of Warri South LGA, this kind of case require funding. That they didn't come out to meet anyone to support them financially does not mean that they don't need funds.

You can reach out to them and give whatever support.

If we win this case, then the Township will be ours and ours it shall be forever.

It is only going to be restored to us, because it has always been our stolen Property.

WADO CITY Wadooooo.

we will not accept anybody, any individual flying any foreign flag in Nigeria

Protesters Wave Russian Flag

Nigeria has seen six days of nationwide protests, in which at least seven people have died and more than 700 have been arrested.

Demonstrators have been chanting slogans such as "we are hungry", while a minority have been pictured waving Russia's flag and voicing support for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Some of these protesters have called on Moscow to "rescue" them.

The subsequent arrests are seen as an attempt to stifle any fledgling support for Russia in Nigeria, a leading oil producer and a key ally of Western powers.

The north-western states of Kaduna and Zamfara saw a massive turnout of demonstrators. Kaduna police spokesman Mansir Hassan said 39 people were arrested there, including a tailor who was "sewing the foreign flags for the group".

Close to 40 Russian flags were confiscated, as well as a Chinese one, he added.

A curfew has now been imposed in Kaduna - the sixth state to take such action since last week, forcing millions of people to stay at home.

Afterwards, army chief Christopher Musa said: "We are warning in clear terms that we will not accept anybody, any individual flying any foreign flag in Nigeria. That is a treasonable offence, and it will be viewed and treated as such.

“The Russian embassy in Nigeria has distanced itself from the demonstrations, saying that the flags were the "personal choices" of protesters.

"As always, we emphasise that Russia does not interfere in the domestic affairs of foreign states, including Nigeria," it added.

Rights group Amnesty International says 13 people have been killed since protests began last week and accused security forces of using excessive force against demonstrators.

President Tinubu addressed the nation on Sunday and said his government was committed to addressing the concerns of protesters.

He added that the protests had been hijacked by looters in some areas, and ending the unrest would create room for dialogue.

Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu came to power in May 2023 after winning fiercely contested elections.

Satisfaction with his leadership has plummeted, with many blaming his policies for the sharp increase in the cost of living.

He scrapped a long-standing state subsidy on fuel in his inauguration speech, causing pump prices to rise. The move also had a knock-on effect on the cost of food and other basic commodities.

President Tinubu has urged frustrated Nigerians to be patient, insisting his policies would bear fruit.

He has appealed for an end to the protests and held a meeting with security chiefs on Monday to assess their scale.

"wise up Nigerians" Still on the August, 1st protest

By Uwode Josephine

A loaf of bread in the United States today costs $2.50-$6.00. Going by today's exchange rate of NGN1, 666.07 of dollar to naira, this is approximately NGN 9,961.42, yet prices are perceived to only be on the high side in Nigeria.  Here dwells the difference, Americans are gainfully employed and have the purchasing power to afford an average life even in worse case scenerio. Nigerians please irrespective of party affiliations, hold your governors and representatives be it senators or more accountable for our collective plights.

The essence of the monthly robust federal allocations to states is to service current and recurrent expenditures. Stop applauding your governor for constructing bridges and flyovers, which was contracted to foreign construction companies that cannot guarantee 50% employment to people of a state. Let the facelift begin with upgrading the living conditions of the masses than beautifying cities that serve as a conduit pipe for perversion of public coffer into private fiefdom (embezzlement).

Besides, when will the economically unproductive states learn to diversify and look inward into strengthening their level of internally generated revenue and turn away from the parasitic tendencies of relying on the federal solely for survival? The combat against bad government is a collective war irrespective of party affiliations.

Employment creation that comes in the form of permanent and temporary means (empowerment initiative) has the potency to solve most of the problems that affect the common man. The states are still receiving their allocations as such must be held accountable to deliver optimally.

For Fubara, It's a "Take-It-Back" Punch against President Tinubu. Mobilizes Own Protesters, Doles Out Millions of Naira

By Iso Fiberesima

The primary responsibility of government at all levels is to protect lives and property while balancing citizens' constitutional rights. However, in the interest of safety and security, governments often limit the enforcement of these rights. This delicate balance was put to the test in Rivers State, where a recent protest exposed a matrix of governance, disloyalty, and rebellion.

Despite President Ahmed Bola Tinubu's federal government being open to peaceful protests, it has consistently advised against violent demonstrations, which can be hijacked by malicious elements. In line with this stance, government officials across the country, including state governors and appointees, have worked to minimize the impact of processions and rallies.

However, Rivers State, known for its loyalty to the central government, took a different approach. Governor Fubara allegedly ignored calls from the Federal government to mitigate the risks associated with the protest.

Instead, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Edison Ehie mobilized youth groups, including past and present student union leaders, to meet with the Governor, ostensibly to plan a "peaceful" protest.

It was gathered that each of the leaders of these groups received N300,000 from taxpayers' funds on the first day. A subsequent meeting took place, where Mr. Siminialayi addressed the youths and told them to disregard warnings not to participate in the protest from "enemies of the state." Each attendee received N500, 000, totaling N150 million for 300 youths.

Various groups received N6 million each to mobilize for the protest, which went ahead despite resistance from the anti-rally orders of the Commissioner of Police in the state.

In what appears to be a shocking revelation, Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, has indicted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, criticizing his low democratic scorecard and failure to manage the economy and stem the tide of inflation. Governor Fubara threw a jab at President Tinubu, while responding to a crowd of protesting youth, who gathered in front of the Government House, Port Harcourt on August 1, 2024.

Governor Fubara espoused his views, saying, "I am in your protests. The demands are germane. Hardship. Bad governance. Before this government came, the exchange rate was below N300.00, but under this government, it is now N1, 600. The cost of living cost of food, house rent, and high cost of medical bills." He continued, "I am thanking you because you are here to demand a better Nigeria. Like I told you yesterday, I already know your problems. Our youth, I know that you are hungry. I agree with you that there is hunger. Before you leave here, I will give you a small thing, at least, to take and buy pure water and bread. Aluta Continua."

The planned protest was hijacked by the Governor and his Chief of Staff to prove a point to the Federal Government that he had the support of the youths. Governor Fubara wants to show that it is time for revenge against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who he now perceives as his political enemy. During the protest, Governor Fubara acknowledged the successes of the protest, confirming he knew it would be non-violent. He aligned with the youth, while blaming the Federal Government for the people's suffering due to failed policies.

Jerry Ehiwarior: Address protester on the streets airing their grievances

Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area in Agbor, Delta State Nigeria Mr Jerry Ehiwarior addressing protester at the Agbor-Obi junction.

Mr Jerry Ehiwarior  Said: “Today, I'm proud of our youths and residents of Ika south in particular for our collectively resolve to press our demand in a united and such peaceful way”

He was at Agbor-Obi junction this morning to address the people who are on the streets airing their grievances in regards the economy and state of the nation.  He added that “As we go about this, let’s continue to be peaceful and not engaging in violence or destruction of public properties”.

He also commends the security agencies for being on ground, engaging professionally and making sure there’s orderliness in our land.

Tread with caution!!!

By Uwode E. Josephine

Protest is an expression of grievances by the populace over a perceived malnourished governance style. It is a welcome development in any sane society.

However, do majority of Nigerians really understand the business of governance? Why do we make it seem like the current economic woes measured basically by skyrocketing prices of goods and services, to mean a party affair?

For instance, if the long agitated minimum wage upward review is implemented, how many state actors are ready to fulfill their own side of the bargain especially the certified unproductive and parasitic states that are 90% dependent on the centre (federal) for survival?

I ask again, since the inception of this government, has the robust federal allocations to states stopped or suffered a decline? Why can’t we hold our governors, constituent representatives (senators, rep members e.t.c) accountable that happen to be the eye of the common man at the centre (federal)? It is a decentralized system of government and not a one man show. Although the centre cannot be exempted from this menace, the truth still remains that an average Nigerian is corrupt. This draws the dichotomy between governance in developed societies and third world nations like Nigeria, defined by “ideological and attitudinal transformation" corruption perpetuated in that little office you occupy reflects at the centre and capable of strangulating administrative progress at all tiers of governance. No Nigerian is a saint. So protest and as well seek an attitudinal and ideological reform.

What is the sincerity of purpose of the consistent protest by the NLC that will sure  surprise Nigerians  with a mid night broadcast with the usual anthem "we are giving government a two week ultimatum  and we believe in dialogue impotent strategy employed over time , thereby suspending the protest and returning us all to business as usual?

It is very commendable to think the protest has been peaceful across some states so far but for some unscrupulous elements that tend to instigate Nigerians against a peaceful protest and hijack it to assume a festival of bloodshed like the ENDSARS scenario are obviously waiting to strike again.

Fellow Nigerians be wise because all die nor be die and before you strike, check your account balance because those you seek to agitate against have the financial muscle to seek a safe haven overseas while the poor masses are left to bear the brunt. If it is not a peaceful one, please steer clear. Remember, a sleeping dog is better than a dead lion. In Naija, no hero in the grave.

Say no to political Puppeting and shun the monstrous ambitions of some group of unpatriotic sponsors and protest hijackers. Wishing Nigerians luck as they embark on a peaceful protest with an anticipated palatable outcome.

Energy sector: Plot to discredit heads of regulatory agencies uncovered

 By Olusahola Adekunle

There is a subtle plot by some individuals, acting in cahoots with some members of the House of Representatives, to discredit heads of regulatory agencies in the energy sector. This newspaper reports that the motive of the scheme is to put the heads of the agencies under intense pressure, distract them from performing their duties and thus set the stage for their sack on grounds of non-performance.

Available information said that the plot was orchestrated by a member of the House from the South who has become infamous for blackmail, intimidating and manipulating agencies in the guise of oversight responsibility. He has been leading his committee members by the nose in the grand conspiratorial alliance to extort money from the agencies of government in furtherance of some selfish agenda. Newspaper reports that there have been some mutterings by some of the committee members who have realised that the actions of their chairman are far from being motivated or inspired by patriotism.

Some members are pissed off with the committee chairman’s reported boast about his ability to sway them with "just a few dollars." Meanwhile, reports have confirmed that the committee chair has been trying to "double deal" and has, in the process, come under intense rebuke by the regulators. This newspaper quoted a source to have said that "evidence has been recorded'.  However, this newspaper had yet to get a copy of the recorded evidence as of the time of publication.

IT IS A FOUNDATIONAL THING.....

Chief Dore Numa

Dr Ejiro Imuere

Whether you like it or not as an Urhobo man, once the name "Warri" is involved, the ITSEKIRIS have ten times advantage over you. It is not their connections. It is a FOUNDATIONAL thing.

Many do not know how the British colonial foundation has either progressed some people or undermine some people. In Benin KINGDOM, the Obasekis are still reaping it. A strong FOUNDATION for them. Dore Numa was the first Federal minister in 1914, he wined and dined with Lord Lugard.

He was the one few Lucky Africans to be members of the Federal executive council. The King of England then in 1909 was king George. He knew Dore Numa one on one and even gave him the Kings medal in 1909, because he helped the British to conquer both Nana(1894) and Oba Ovonranmwen (1897).

Dore Numa was also the Head of all the chiefs and Kings of Warri ( Delta Province). More like the GOVERNOR today. He was also the Head of the Warri Native court of Appeal. More like the Chief Judge of the State And it was him who took very many land decisions affecting us Today. He 1904 he separated Sapele from Amuokpe , making Sapele an independent town from Amuokpe.

He put the boundary at the former IDH hospital In 1928, he went further to declare all of Sapele as Olu land, and stopped giving Chief Ayomanor the rents. In 1925 he separated Ugbolokposo from EFFURUN, then he was also the British appointed clan head of the Uvwie People, simply because his mother was Uvwie.

In 1922, be played instrumental role in marking the boundary between Okpe and Ovu in Present day Omoise village. We are still struggling to recover from many evil things he did to us.

But we may not recover all, like the Ogbe Ijohs have lost Warri GRA. We will start by first of all REJECT THE NAME WARRI, OVER OUR LANDS. Warri was originally the name of Ode Itsekiri. Between 1891 to 1916, the British gradually brought that name to Urhobo lands of Agbassa and OKERE Urhobo And Urhobos fell in love with the name, and then the Itsekiris used it to Subsume them REJECT the name, there is a Metaphysical reason for it .

Itsekiris usually go to court to raise issues of Technicalities. Bar. Erewele and his crafty antics......

Three Warri local government areas

By Dr Ejiro Imuere

I have stated many times before now,  that Itsekiris usually go to court to raise issues of Technicalities and that is why they will usually end up being frustrated and then they will cry foul. And that what they usually Plead in the courts, is actually totally different from what they tell to the Public.

Can you read all this court Papers carefully filed by Bar. Erewele  to stop INEC from engaging in the Supreme Court ordered delineations of the Three Warri local government areas?

Erewele had already gone to court in Abuja to restrain INEC from attempting to delineate the 25 local government areas in Delta state, claiming that it contradicts the electoral act having conducted registration areas in them last year.

But is there any reasonable cause of action here? .Did INEC announce that she wants to carry out Ward delineations in the 25 LGA of Delta state? Why lie and blackmail INEC? If I were INEC, I would respond that INEC had not even contemplated such a thing.

Rather, what INEC wants to do is a Supreme Court ordered delineations. And it is limited to only Three local governments. It is not being done by the INHERENT POWERS OF INEC, RATHER IT IS A SUPREME COURT DIRECTIVE. It means Bar. Erewele should have sued the Supreme Court not INEC.

INEC doesn't want to delineate it is the Supreme Court that has ordered INEC to do this, having nullified all Previous delineations in the Warri Federal constituency.

It is interesting that Bar. Erewele seeks to stop INEC, from doing this Supreme Court ordered delineations, in a fresh case but He is PRETENDING, Before the Federal high Court in Abuja that HE IS NOT AWARE OF THE SUPREME COURT DIRECTIVE. He is PRETENDING as if he doesn't know that the Supreme Court gave such order. He is trying to play smart as if INEC is using her inherent statutory POWERS and not a Supreme Court directive. This is just being clever by half.

He never made references to the Supreme Court ordered judgment.  Yet before the World on Arise T.V today he said the Supreme Court ordered delineations has been remedied or overtaken by the 2020 amendment of the electoral act. He pretended as if INEC has no such court order hence he used originating summons instead of Write of summons.

If I were INEC lawyer I will simply play his yesterday recorded interview that he is fully aware of the Supreme Court ordered delineations, yet in his fresh application before the courts, he feigned ignorance.

Summary.

Bar Erewele like Don Carlos is only cashing cruise. They should advise their clients to get Prepared for delineations. The Gerrymandering of the Three Warri LGA must come to an end. We want the Truth.

Formal exit of Abe, his associates from APC good riddance – Senibo Finebone

The State Publicity Secretary of Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, Senibo Chris Finebone has described the formal exit of Magnus Abe and his supporters as a good riddance.

The APC spokesman stated this during a press conference held today, July 20, 2022 at its State Secretariat, 118 Woji Road, GRA, Port Harcourt. According to him, “This press conference is essentially to explain to you and the public that Rivers APC considers the formal exit of Abe and his associates from the APC as good riddance.”.

Excerpt of the Press Conference:

Gentlemen of the Press,

This press conference is a direct response to the anxiety and concerns members of our great Party, the public and particularly the media have expressed privately and, sometimes, publicly over the resignations of some Party members in the past two weeks or so. We consider that our stakeholders, sympathizers, well-wishers and the general public deserve honest clarification on the development.

To start with, we believe that movements of politicians in and out of political parties in Nigeria have become part of the political culture of politicians especially towards the end of every election cycle. It cuts across all political parties.

Recently, a few members of our Party in Rivers State resigned their membership of the Party. It is very pertinent to state that the persons that resigned belong to two categories. The first is made up of a few persons who either resigned to pursue other interests in life or exercised their right of free association by seeking greener political pastures elsewhere. To these persons, we acknowledge the contributions of some of them to the Party and wish them well in their future endeavours.

However, it has also come to our notice that a few persons that are loyal to Senator Magnus Abe have also resigned recently. These are individuals who have, for the past couple of years, spoken and acted in every way to destroy the APC in Rivers State. Led by Abe, these persons tried all they could to factionalize our Party in the State. They connived endlessly with the governor of Rivers State and used some elements in the State Judiciary to frustrate and destroy our Party through needless litigations. The culmination of their evil machinations was the exclusion of Rivers APC from the ballot in 2019. Evidence exists how Senator Abe and his lieutenants broke into celebration the day the Party was excluded by the court from participating in that election due to their litigation.

After the 2019 unfortunate development, Abe continued to receive support from outside the State and persisted in undermining Rivers APC through every imaginable means principally through frivolous litigation executed through his proxies. At a time, they attacked and completely destroyed the then Rivers APC Secretariat at Forces Avenue, Old GRA, Port Harcourt. Recently, they also hired hoodlums and attempted to destroy the present Secretariat of the Party.

Tired of Abe’s antics, majority of his supporters openly joined the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State while others found their way back to the mainstream of the Party. However, it recently came to our attention that Senator Abe and the few persons still with him had concluded plans to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on whose platform Abe will run for governor, hence their persistent hype to the effect that Abe will be on the ballot come 2023.

In what appears to be a carefully planned exit plan, close associates of Abe started resigning from the APC and making heavy weather of their exit in the social media as part of their exit plan as though they have been functional members of the Party, just to hoodwink the public.

This press conference is essentially to explain to you and the public that Rivers APC considers the formal exit of Abe and his associates from the APC as good riddance. We liken it to a successful excision of a debilitating cancer from the body. Rivers APC can now heave a sigh of relief from the sustained destabilizing onslaught by Senator Abe. We wish him well as he joins the SDP. We pray that he takes everything he exhibited in APC particularly his nuisance value to his new party so that the world would see him for who he truly is.

We make bold to state without an iota of doubt that Senator Abe and his supporters had, by their actions and utterances, long ceased to be functional members of APC. They shunned and refused to participate in the Membership Revalidation exercise that was carried out nationwide by the Party. They also abstained from other legitimate activities of the Party, making their recent purported resignation a mere formality and part of their face-saving exit strategy aimed at deceiving the public.

We appreciate your understanding that there is no blanket exit or exodus of well-meaning members of Rivers APC. We believe that you and the public would appreciate that our Party is, by far, better off without Abe and his motley supporters.

Be informed that an ongoing process of reconciliation led by the Party Special Contact Committee is proceeding apace. The outcome of the good job the Committee is undertaking will be concluded early enough for us to consolidate and kick off campaigns in September.

Rivers APC is glad to, once again, emphasize that we were very careful to ensure that the Party conformed to the Electoral Act 2022, Party rules and regulations, and the Nigerian Constitution all through the various congresses and primaries that culminated in the emergence of the governorship Candidate for our dear Party, Arc. Tonye Patrick Cole, mni In spite of being an established and successful Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, he recently attended the University of Oxford and, on graduation, was inducted into the prestigious Transformational Leadership Fellowship of Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government. Hope you all would agree that he is well-equipped for the task ahead to redeem, recover and turnaround our beloved Rivers State.

This press conference cannot be complete without using this medium to call on all well-meaning members of APC in Rivers State, particularly the energetic youth who have sacrificed their future and destinies in the past seven years to the sustenance and wellbeing of our dear Party, to see the evolving situation as a clarion call on them to step out and step in to provide the much needed support, direction and energy that will ensure victory for our Party come 2023. Your focus should be unwavering and aimed at taking full charge of your various units in the State. This is critical to ensuring success in the 2023 general elections and subsequent elections.

Let me use this opportunity to raise the alarm that just yesterday, evil people launched fake news concerning our leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi purporting that he has resigned from the APC. This is a lie taken from the very abyss of hell. Kindly ignore it and any such fake news that may be concocted and circulated in the media particularly the social media to smear the former Minister of Transportation. He remains a loyal member of the APC and he has re-iterated this at every opportunity and that he would work to ensure the Party resoundingly wins the 2023 elections.

Finally, we express our profound appreciation to you, the press, for not lending yourselves and your platforms for the propagation of fake news and other mischief against our Party, leaders and members. We want to emphatically state, for the umpteenth time, that well-meaning members of Rivers APC are intact. What you might have seen recently is the usual self-cleansing mechanism of the Party at work.
