My Encounter With Awka-Based Female Keke Driver
| Awka-Based Female Keke Driver |
By Ebuka Onyekwelu
I met this woman in
Awka, Anambra State, on Sunday, with her newborn. She is a keke driver, and a
mother of six. She was radiating pure joy. I was pleasantly surprised. She is
from Agulu, in Anaocha LGA. According to her, she has been driving Keke for five
years now, and this helps with paying the family bills.
I was amazed, even more
because of her baby. She was all smiles. There was no time, she needed to move
as she was carrying one more passenger. We spoke for a few seconds, then, I
switched to video and had some seconds session with her.
This woman inspires.

Becarefull of the people you meet on your way up because on your way down you will still meet them.
By Evang. Dr Gospel Agochukwu jp
I lodged in a hotel some weeks
back and my team got me food i was calling reception to help me with spoon but
no one was picking up so i decided to go and request for spoon myself; as i
stepped out i saw a staff of the hotel i asked him for spoon and he said
"no" “we dont
give spoon here to food that was ordered from other hotel”. Staff beside
him said but we give plastic spoon, he said i dont think its available.Young
man in his 20's but intoxicated with power. I believe he is amongst those who
dont regard people, I went to restaurant myself and the chef got me plastic
spoon which was very much available.
Over
the weekend my team and I lodged in the same hotel and i gave my personal
assistant my clothe for ironing. Shortly I heard a knock on my
door it was my personal assistant with the same guy who refused to attend to me
on plastic spoon, holding my cloth burnt by pressing iron. He said sorry sir
the clothe got burnt while i was ironing it. I reminded him of how he was mean,
arrogant and logical to me. Because I
asked for spoon.
I had forgiven him but wanted
to teach him the different between mercy and kindness I told him that he will
pay for my clothe which I purchase from uk for £100. He was pleading to me to
let go I told him he had an opportunity to be kind and nice to me but he wasn’t.
If I wanted to take up the matter, he could have been sacked or pay through his
salary for several months.
At the end of the day I told
him “When you sow mercy'
you reap mercy'. When you sow kindness you reap kindness.” Becarefull of
the people you meet on your way up because on your way down you will still meet them.
