Fact:
The Original Place which the Europeans called Kwale was "Abraka". It
was so called because it was the original headquarters of the Kwale
District....But when the Abraka people revolted that they were Urhobos, and not
Ukwuanis, and so be removed from the Kwale Division, to Western Urhobo
Division, they were told that they would lose the headquarters. As usual they
didn't care.
And so the British moved "Kwale"
from Abraka to Otagba Ugbe around 1938. Otagba Ugbe, was now changed to Kwale.
The
Original Kwale Division was large it comprised the Ukwuanis, the Abraka
Urhobos, Orogun Urhobos, some Isoko areas and Agbon KINGDOM.

If
the Abraka people were not real Urhobo men, they would have accepted that name
for their settlements, that King would have been the Obi, or Okparuku of Kwale,
and he would have claimed Over lordship of all the Kwale Division simply
because they were in the Kwale Division.
But
not for an Urhobo man he will not deny his roots and he will not also covet
another man's own.
