Vigilante Group Of Nigeria to Add 4,000 members to secure Lagos

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) is  set to add no fewer than 4,000 personnel into the security arrangement in Lagos State.

To enable the organisation to tackle the menace of the dreaded Badoo cult group in Ikorodu area of the state.
 
The Lagos State Vigilante Group of Nigeria commandant  also  urged the Federal Government of Nigeria and the National Assembly to ensure a speedy passage of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria Bill, which is currently before the assembly.
  
VGN commandant also called on the  Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to   consider the strength of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria in all the local governments and local council development areas in the state  and utilise it in creating a safer state for residents and prospective investors.

Vigilante Group of Nigeria is backing by the Nigerian Local Government Law of 1976. It is the only security outfit that has the strength to operate in all the wards in the country. VGN has over four thousand personnel in the nooks and crannies of the state which their primary duty is to secure  lives and properties in Lagos.

 VGN commandant  want to appeal to the president and the National Assembly to ensure a speedy passage of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria Bill. we are aware of the efforts of the Civilian JTF in the battle against Boko Haram in the North East.
