Women in Iyede shut down Ughelli- Asaba Road over Herdsmen attacks

The women of  Iyede community in Isoko South L.G.A, in Delta state, have shut down busy Ughelli – Asaba Road while protesting the menace of  herdsmen’s activities in the area.

The community youths and men, jointed women to show support over the herdsmen’s activities.

The protesters were carrying a placards which read herdsmen destroyed our crops’, ‘We don’t want herdsmen in our bush, the protesters blocked vehicles from passing the axis.

The protesters express their pain of  deaths, rape and trauma being suffered by women  and young girls at the mercy marauding by the herdsmen.

They can no longer go about there farms again because of herdsmen, how can they survive as poor farmers?
